Has ups and downs, like all other dynasty warriors games, i am a fan of it, but i can still see the flaws.
The game is about 3 kingdoms struggle for control overf china in the han dynasty. like all dynasty games, it follows the same story every time.
Picking up this game, its fairly easy to play, confusing at first alright. i found the new Charge system a little different, little upseting too.
In the older games, you had was it 5 or 6 charges attacks, this had a little spice to it and made every character unique. But nuff about that, i am reviewing DW6
The charge system seems bad at first, and it is. The game really only opens once you get the charcater to a higher level, then you can pull off stylisg combos. The combos look amazing, some characters have amazing moves, a real great advancement from previous games which i must applaud koei for.
Musuo mode, right 17 characters have a musuo mode, this had good and bad points.
Good: Wont have to play through repeptitive campaigns with every one
Bad: Crowd favorites did not get a musuo and are confined to free mode
along with that All charcters got a makeover, no one looks worse , bar one or two , but it there fighting styles and weapons that are dissapointing.
A lot of characters use the same weapon and fighting style, this can get seriously repeptitive, and youre fav charcater might be a clone of a few others.
However some characters have fun and interesting fighting methods, along with special attacks.
Musuo mode now has cutscenes tailored for each character (who has a musuo mode). These are nice additions, but for some charcartes, are woefully boring, a lot a diplomatic chatter with emotionless faces can get on your nerves, and you wont be sorry you skipped it.
Anyway, last thing chalenge mode. well tis fun, nice challenges and they have a leader board, nuff said. just fun
Overall dynasty warriors 6.5 - 7.0 ? i love these games, but there are so many visible flaws im finding it hard to score it higher.
