Think twice before buying, unless you're this game's series die-hard fan...
Graphics (7.5/10) - One of few strong points of this game. However, it seems the focus has been put mostly on the generals, they all look fantastic and with unique musou actions. Then you get not so interesting soldiers and standard face generals, plus dull stage settings you almost can't tell from each other. The game sometimes suffers from FPS drop, so slow that it may cause game play issues. The CG movies are well made, but there really isn't a good reason for general players to watch them more than twice.
Game-play (6/10) - Could be good design on the game modes. You get Campaign, Conquer, Multiplayer, Mini-games, etc. All Mini-games can be played via Campaign mode, Conquer has a little bit strategy in it, and you can play with up to 3 people in Multiplayer mode. Other than collecting trophies and items, there is no major difference. Except the Extreme Hard settings, there is almost no strategy to be involved in the game play from Very Easy to Hard; your sole target is to cut down everything that oppose you. This is the easiest Dynastic game I have ever played, so for series fans, you get the picture.
When you finally played every general in the game, you may notice that some of them have same action models. Maybe developers ran out of ideas? The one-on-one duel with enemy generals sometimes could be boring, and maybe annoying when you have just unleashed a musou attack (which cancel out the musou and its bar). Then there is enemy general's setting, they almost all come to you at once. I guess it's necessary, since the game is so easy that a single general can be defeated in a blink of eye time. For the collectors, the unique Level 4 weapons are cancelled and other unique items are not too hard to collect at all, so the only hard job is to level up to 40+ to collect custom general's clothes. I'm afraid I can't be bothered to gain all trophies for this game...
Sound (5.5/10) - Too few background music, not too much sound design. Not much to say for voice actings. I don't know how many voice actors/actresses they've hired, but good enough to give every unique general a different character.
Story (5/10) - There is hardly any in-game story/action cross. I think you might know better by reading through that huge story database provided in another game mode (if you can call it this way). You almost do not need to trigger any special scene during the game play like in the previous games. Again, your sole purpose in this game is to cut down everything and win...
To summarize, ignore this game if you are not series fan. Even an Asian gamer like me can't take it anymore...
