Dynasty Warriors for PSP--a good start, but needs improvement.

User Rating: 7.2 | Dynasty Warriors PSP
Dynasty Warriors for the PSP brings a whole new way to play the long-running hack-and-slash game from Koei, but were the old-school gamers as thrilled as they would've hoped? The new version of Dynasty Warriors is a bit more challenging to progress with the new officer system; where in the PS2 games give you orbs and harnesses to find, this game has you collect over 120 officers that can be very time-consuming to gain and you can lose them, unlike in the PS2 games. Overall, the game is a good beginning, but it definitelly needs some improvement to become a legend. The only audio dialogue in the entire game is that heard when you attack (i.e. "ugh!") and when you do the Musou attack (for Lu Bu: "Die!" and "Worthless Scum!") but the Musou attacks are not easy to hear when you're smashing the life out of several enemies around you. The overall gameplay is quite impressive other than the regular-occurring slow-downs when there are multitudes of enemies and action around you. You can spend countless hours playing this game without finding that one officer that will give you what you seek, whether it be Red Hare or an Elephant. BOTTOM LINE: This game is one of the best launch titles for PSP, but it does need to have new features considered.
