UFC 2010 = FIGHTING GAME EA MMA = SPORTS SIMULATION
Now we will get the obvious out of the way, this game compared to ufc 2010 has very little content in the way of fighters(although it has some legend's if your mma interest stems outside the ufc), career mode, create a fighter customization, etc. However, EA MMA totally dominates UFC when it comes to combat mechanics. This may seem funny considering MMA's lack of unique strikes and submissions, but it uses what it has in a way that makes combat feel far more immersive, even without positions like butterfly guard and saliverry.
When i first heard about this game i thought the control scheme would be it's greatest downfall. Upon first playing it however, i was surprised (after fight night round 4) to find the control's were actually perfect for the game.(It does have an option to have controls more like UFC but i havn't even tried it so no comment.)
The graphics are AMAZING for a fighting game and the animations are so smooth and fluid it really just makes me want to cream my pants with delight! (i hate to say such a filthy thing but it needed to be done!)
It is also quite sad that even on legendary(hardest difficulty) i find the cpu very easy to defeat, of course you cant just run in button mashing (you will get k.t.f.o.) but i'v only had the game for 2 days and like...wheres the challenge?
Anyway overall this game shyts all over UFC 2010 if you are looking for a SPORTS SIMULATION game rather than a FIGHTING game.
