Good, with better potential. Supposedly has bugs, but haven't been affected. Weekly patches so far. Worth ~$20......

Fun game with many good mechanics. Tough but short learning curve.

Long game, 40-70 'shards'. Each takes an hour to a couple hours. You can rush, or take your time - but unfortunately there isn't a lot of benefit to being a completionist as very little carries between shards.

Meta game has potential, but seems lacking.

Surprisingly addictive, does have a measure of the 'ol "Just one more turn".

Supposedly a lot of bugs, I was only affected by the 2 larger bugs - karma and home defense. It didn't affect my gameplay, but will supposedly affect it more as I go along. The karma bug has been fixed and we're still waiting on home defense.

The negative: Some pieces seemed unfinished. Supposedly some people experience long turn times in the later game. So much potential that isn't realized yet. Maps get a bit repetitive in terms of how you deal with them.

The positive: Fun, cheap. Weekly patches that also generally include new functionality.
