Eagle-Eye Mysteries was a game that was bundled with my SoundBlaster 16 ISA Sound Card. ISA you ask? Think Pentium I architecture. The SoundBlaster package came with the thing that we all use today, a CD-ROM drive. And it was 2x. Whoa... So me and my new 2X CD-ROM drive set out to play Eagle-eye Mysteries. It was the first game I played that was a point-click adventure game with full VGA color, and all these sound clips. I think so much audio was recorded, and compressed so nicely that they actually created a sequel. Go figure. The game was fairly straightforward. Simple mysteries that required you track the clues and then nab the crook. I think this game had some 35 mysteries in all, and allowed you to choose your own main character, a boy or girl. I don't recall the game being very difficult, but I do remember it being a lot of fun. At least- I enjoyed it. Its probably not around even in the bargain bins any longer but I remember it quite vividly. Its what started my effort of shelling 60 bucks everytime I want a new game on a piece of plastic. :)
