There is no chance, by whatever standards, that EDF2017 can be considered an interesting game, much less a good one.

Making it really simple. The graphics are too bad to be true, the frame rate is laughable ( at the point when a crowd of insect wave comes to your direction, it looks like you are watching slides passing at high speed), the achievements are... well.. they are not. they are given for game completion on the several difficulty settings. the controls are the most simplistic and lacking ever, you don't even have a reload button, you move, and you shoot. Oh, and almost forgot, you jump or roll with the same key. Jump forward and backward, or roll left and right. And the story is... well... there isn't one. At least, not one that is worth being called a story. The game is about destroying wave after wave of big/gigantic enemies. Gets boring after 10 minutes, and if you endure it to try to see where it takes you ( like I did) you will end up finding it to be the most regrettable time spent in a game. Some may argue that it's just plain fun, not to worry about anything and just go around shooting and blowing things up( by things, I mean the only 2 things in thew game, enemies and copy/past buildings) and that it's not to use your brain. Problem is, even if you leave your brain at the doorstep, your eyes will want to close shut as soon as you start playing, to avoid the horrible graphics. Even your own character looks like a generic opponent of a shooter from 15 years ago. And even for the simple purpose of shooting around just for fun, without using your brain, there are tons of other better titles out there.
