EarthBound...
EarthBound also has a prequel on the Famicom( japanese NES) and a sequel on the GBA. Sadly, none of these games were released in america.
It takes place in modern day time, where instead of fighting dragons and going in castles, you walk streets, fight New Age Retro Hippies with baseball bats, eat a few burgers and go so sleep in an inn. The dialog is hilarious. The music, great. Graphics, not bad. Story and Gameplay are amazing!
The plot is that an evil enemy named Giygas has returned from Mother 1( the famicom prequel) and Ness must unite the eight santuaries. Along the way he meets 3 partners. A girl named Paula, a guy named Jeff, and another named.... Poo. The game starts when Ness gets woken from a meteorite and when he climbs the hill by his house with his neighbour Pokey Minch he finds Pokeys brother, Pickey, and a meteroite! Ness is told that 4 kids will defeadt Giygas and one of them is him! That's when Ness' adventure officially begins.
Another coll thins is that most of the cities in the game have a number in their name( ONEtt, TWOson, THREEd, FOURside). After you play for awhile, you learn that Ness' neighbour Pokey, begins to work for Giygas and becomes your enemy. In Mother 3, he is the primary antagonist for Lucas.
Bottom line, if you own a SNES or SNES emulator, you should definately check this game out. It is worth it 100%(hopefully).
