My kind of RPG

This game was comical and modern, yet had solid RPG gameplay.

It's not based in medieval fantasy, and despite the name and cover design, the alien/sci-fi element isn't too big either, at least early on. It's more tabloid-type stuff than stuff you'd find in a Tolkien novel.

Mostly it's just a game about a contemporary kid with some psychic (psi) powers. While it has a lot of extraordinary and zany story elements, the game has a everyday, down-to-earth feel to it for the most part. Many RPG staples are there, such as inns, item shops, healers, and save points; but everything has a modern spin to it.

There's not too much in the way of mini games, so the replay value isn't as high as it could be. The item storage system is poor, and very limiting. No multiple items in a slot, and only about 10 or so slots per character.

Overall, a fun story with many exciting twists and turns. Though I don't care much for RPGs that seal you off once you reach the end boss level, it could've been worse in that regard. Then again, it could have been better at the end.
