This really shows the art of role-playing games. Man, I wish I owned it :-(

I rented this game because Ness is a SSB character, so I wanted to check out a game with him in. This game did not disappoint me.

You start at the house of Ness. Soon you will find a meteorite has landed not far away and after a short time Ness and three "friends" that are currently unaware of Ness' exsistens has to save the world.

Kind of a wierd story, but after a while the four kids will get together. On the way you buy and equip weapons, you buy and eat food, you talk in the phone to save your game, you sleep at hotels and other places. Mainly you have to fight robots, plants, animals, crazy persons/religious fanatics, cars, monsters and a lot more. Your fighting teqnics are the weapons and magic, called PSI. You basically has a menu where you chose to attack, use PSI or use items. This makes the battle system simple, but with a lot of tactics. So the battle system is great. Also, you gain exp to level up, so you can take on harder and harder enemies (and bosses).

You visit a lot of towns, mostly they have a number in the name (ONEtt, TWOson, THREEd). Here you must find and fight persons or whatever you are supposed to do. It is all attached to the story (it is a role-playing game after all) and it really has all that you would expect from a role-playing game.

It is too bad I just rented it, because I never came far enough to find the fourth member of my party. However I did get a lot of fun out of it. It is a game that really makes you want to keep playing, just keep playing.

The graphics are not that good, but after SNES standard not that bad either. What I really miss is some kind of running shoes, because there is a lot of walking, which can be boaring. The music isn't good either.

Awesome gameplay, good story, bad music, bad graphics, it is a 9.0 to me.
