***** INTRODUCTION *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE POSITIVES:
It's funny - Great music

-------------------------------------------------------

THE NEGATIVES:
Bad enemy A.I. - Ridicules story - Stiff controls - Awkward cover system - Slow sound effects and voice dialogue sync timing

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***** PLOT *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You play Matt Hazard. Matt Hazard is the main character of many games (within the story), and he knows it. He loves the fame, not fearing death due to the ability of re-spawning, being the main character, and just generally being big headed. Matt is scripted to be killed in his next instalment and be replaced by another new main character. After being saved by someone from the inside before he was terminated, Matt Hazard is now travelling through levels within the game server, with the help of an inside informant, in search for answers as to why and who is trying to wipe him out.

The story is meant to be funny. If it was meant to be serious, then it definitely failed. The plot line is really nothing worthy of a play through. As you get to the half way point you will probably lose interest in what's going on.

***** GRAPHICS *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average visuals, noting really more to say.

***** GAME-PLAY *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eat Lead is a 3rd person action game. The game-play is just constant shooting everything that moves. Throughout the game you'll find weapons ranging from modern weapons to western weapons to futuristic weapons, in which you can carry any two weapons at one time. Your enemies are ranged (like your weapon arsenal). Throughout your play through you will encounter cowboys from the west, military army, and futuristic enemies. The enemy A.I. (as to as the Boss fights) are quite poor. Enemies tend to ether stand in one spot, or run at you. Occasionally your enemies will take cover using the environment to there advantage, but even that doesn't make the game challenging. Enemies tend to take cover in the stupidest places and when they do take cover, you can still make a clear headshot. Some environmental cover object can disappear when taking much damage which works to it's advantage both ways for you and your enemies.
Eat Lead is not a particularly difficulty game, but it can be frustrating due to the stiff controls. Aiming can feel a little clunky, melee attacks have to be precise, and taking cover can be trick now and again. Overall Eat Lead is playable, but with no fun value.

***** SOUND DESIGN *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The sound design is passable. Funny dialogue but not really good voice acted, great music, and reasonable sound effects. Eat Lead does suffer from slow down rate within it's sound design causing late dialogue at cut scenes, and late sound effects throughout game-play.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***** LIFE VALUE *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once I finished Eat Lead, I new I would never play it again. Eat Lead will take you just under 10 hours to finish. You can play the game again on a harder difficulty but honestly, why would you… unless your desperate for a platinum.

***** EDITOR'S FINAL THOUGHT *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What can I say, Eat Lead is not a good game. In fact, it's bad. Personally , i didn't enjoy it. It does have some good points. It is funny. It make fun of games in general and it does it surprisingly well. The music is kick ass, but sadly everything else just brutally batters the game. The story is not appealing at all, the characters are dumb and uninteresting, the enemy A.I. system is atrocious, and the game-play is just not fun at all. Overall Eat Lead is not a game I would recommended to anyone, except if your looking to boost us your trophy achievements, and if your looking for a bad game to play

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***** RECOMMENDATIONS *****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eat Lead can be appealing to some 3rd person shooter fans, player who are satisfied with constantly killing everything that moves, and if trophy are your forte .
