A decent 3-D fighter brought to you by Squaresoft.

User Rating: 7.8 | Ehrgeiz PS
Gameplay:
Erhgeiz has a solid fighting engine built into the game. It's a 3-D, run-around fighter, which is not of the norm, since most 3-D fighters still have a 2-D plane. Erhgeiz, however, allows you to freely roam the levels to try and defeat your opponent. The level designs are great, each very distinct, and most having elevated areas to create more a of challenge and edge. There are also some great minigames packed in. The short RPG built in is alright, but very difficult. It's a nice addition though. The character selection is great too. Lots of distinct, different fighters, including some Final Fantasy VII favorites.

Graphics:
Really good. All the character models look great. The levels could have used a little work, but they are good enough. The FMV movies look amazing though. Each character has an FMV ending. Eye candy right there.

Sound:
The sounds are typical arcade fighter sounds, but that isn't a bad thing. The menu noice is annoying though. The voices are alright as well. Decent sound for a fighter.

Replay:
High. The fighting engine is great, and with each character having a different story, you'll want to play as each one at least once. The multiplayer is a great addition too. It will keep you coming back, especially the mini games.

Overall:
A good fighter and nice addition to anyone's PS1 collection. Recommended, especially to FFVII fans :P
