I bought this game because my disc for EE1 is scratched up to all hell(although I'm going to remedy that soon), and I missed out on EE2, but this one is an EPIC FAILURE. The only reason I liked the original is because you had all the ages, and a COOL future one. In this one, you get all the BORING ages, and you only get five of them. A typical game usually goes something like this: Dum dee dum dum dum...go gather resources, god these guys are slow. Well, time to make units. Oh my god, there's hardly any real unit matching...it comes down to advancing to the highest age, and producing a bunch of the earthquake beam robot things(didn't bother remembering the name since it doesn't matter anyway). I really didn't like this game. It should be renamed "My First Empire Earth"(meaning it's for little kids. There isn't anything in here graphically that would do much to a kid's mind. I mean come on, I played the original EE when I was 11, which had mild blood and gore, and I'm fine!) If a time machine is invented in my lifetime, I will go back in time with a copy of this webpage on a portable hard drive, and show how much a lot of we gamers HATED this game. I am so happy that I'm getting the original disc fixed soon. If I have to keep sticking with Rise of Nations(it's a good game, don't get me wrong, but it's inferior to EE because it isn't as good with the units, and it doesn't go into the future), the anticipation will drive me INSANE!!!!!
I've played Empire Earth since the first one came out. When the second one came out, I thought it was good, but in a way I still preferred the first. Both games had lots of options in the way of resources, diplomacy, t... Read Full Review
