Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, entrapped me from day 1

User Rating: 9.5 | Enslaved: Odyssey to the West PS3
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a game that is a must have.
The game itself is based off of a old Chinese story of the misadventures of a character named Monkey. In this version the main character is named Monkey and its about his journey to the West to find sanctuary from all of the misadventures while assisting the other main character named Trip.
I say misadventures but it is more of a surviving the elements and the metal attackers.
The story starts off with the main 2 characters trapped on a slave ship heading to the "pyramid". Once Trip escapes she sets off a chain of events that eventually free the primary character Monkey. The next objective once freed is to escape the ship and to get back home.
The two are paired off when the last standing escape-pod is occupied by Trip and a unknown Monkey hitches a ride.
Once escaped Trip realizes that getting back home will be a daunting task and she "enslaves" Monkey with a slave headband and orders him to escort her home.....
The game has many positive attributes such as the thought out puzzles and the re pour between the two characters mixed with it's lust visual landscapes and feel for being original, the game is a must play.
Currently I am still traveling and haven't finished the game, but more hours I put into the game the more I am drawn to see which direction it will take me next.
I give a rate scale of my take of this game

Storyline: 10
Combat: 9
Puzzles: 8
Customization: 8

Overall value: 9

If you are not sure that the limited free roam limits your ability to explore or to enjoy the game I still suggest that you rent the game.
