Enter the matrix is a fun game for the most part, but has many draw backs

Yes, enter the matrix is a fun arcade style shooter slash beat-em-up and adds new story to the matrix movies but there are plenty of drawbacks on the console version. The first problem with the game is STRAFTING (moving sideways) the main control for movement is the left analog stick which controls forwards/backward and TURNING left and right. So when u need to step from behind a wall and dive out, you must hold the right trigger to turn on strafting. This wouldn't be to bad if it wasn't for that the Straft button is also the targeting button. ( which already targets enemys that may not even be on the same floor as you) This creates lots of frustration, for example, you want to shoot the 2 guys in front of you but when u straft your character starts to target someone that is on the next floor up and hiding behind a wall so you end up wasting your very limited ammo and having 2 guys to deal with, with your bare hands which luckly for the slow motion mode is still very fun. The game has many interesting martial arts moves, including a jump kick that can be used to smash through windows to gain access to another room but for some reason cant be used to open a small door ?

The PC version deals with the inability to have complete control over you character which makes the game more enjoyable so if your are going to buy it , buy the pc version.

but even with the flaws mainly due to using a control instead of a mouse and keyboard (how ALL fps should be played ) it is still lots of fun and worth playing and can be found at your local blockbuster's bargain bin for 14 bucks to 4 bucks.
