Gameplay: The gameplay in this game is pretty good. Responsive controls, smooth gameplay and no slowdowns. But what it lacks is soul. It feels dead, it's a great game, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't feel like the NBA. It's slow paced, theres no smoothness to the animations like EA. It's feels ok, but it needs improvement to stand above EA in this department. Graphics: ESPN does a great job in this area, as they seem to do in every sports game. The faces are unique, and models looks great. ESPN does a very good job with crowd models, as these seem to become more life like as the yrs. go by. Sound: ESPN caputres the sounds of basketball excellently, everything you'd expect to hear at a game yourself is included, yelling fans, squeaking sneakers etc. Perfect. Value: Here's where it gets tough, its a personal preferance. The game is great whether you have live or don't. Multiplayer: It'll last longer and won't get forgotten if you have Live. But how long it lasts you, depends. The online protion of this game is pretty good. But it's not anything amazing. Overall: It holds its own as a very good basketball game.
