This is Sega and Visual Concepts' Hail Mary, and as far as I'm concerned, they've pulled it off and deserve to dominate football sales this year. I can't even begin to describe what an absolute steal this game is at $50, let alone the $20 it is selling for. Madden is such a strong brand name that it will be virtually impossible for ESPN NFL 2k5 to take the market share, but d*mmit if it doesn't deserve it. There's not much to add to the already glowing reviews strewn across the web. Presentation is unbelievable, graphics are the best yet in a football game, audio takes full advnatage of 5.1, and if you have an HDTV you'll enjoy glorious 480p 16x9 goodness. Bottom line...here's the deal...you can either drop $20 on a pizza this weekend, or you can pick up an amazing piece of software that will provide hundreds of hours of fun and enjoyment. How much more of a no-brainer could it be?
