SEGA's series takes the cake over Madden for the 2nd straight year.

Coming into the 2005 season for football games I thought that with the addition of Xbox Live to Madden it would be a close battle for the #1 spot. But I was way wrong. Ea failed miserably again and SEGA capatilized on it. This years ESPN was faster, and smoother then Madden. I believe that the franchise mode was better due to it being more of a simulation then the arcade feeling I got from Madden. Also, to top it all off, when ESPN added their "seasons and tournaments" mode to the online play they crushed Madden. It seemed to work a lot better then the EA Online. Also when I played online, I seemed to get little to no lag when playing 2k5 but everytime I played Madden I got lag, no matter what game it was. So if your trying to decide what football game to get, the choice is a easy one. Go with ESPN's NFL 2K5. How can you beat $20 for this game?
