ESPN NHL Hockey is the best hockey game that i've played to date. The enhanced graphics and animations coupled with the commentary of Bill Clement and Gary Thorne push the presentation over the top even exceeding EA's product. The gameplay is still incredible and has been touched up in all of the right areas. This is a hockey sim not a hockey arcade game and should be insanely difficult. However, the human error/chance factor should be there as well and I think this game balances those aspects perfectly. Throw in the skills competition, the Skybox, some pond hockey, and a little air hockey and you've got a great game. I think this is the way to go if you're a true hockey fan. I have only one small gripe so far and that is that I haven't found a slider for adjusting injury frequency. With injuries enabled, I was missing 5 of my top 10 players after two weeks of the season. I found the frequency of injury a bit overdone. So, I turned them off... Problem solved. Near perfect game overall. Enjoy!
