If your a fan of hockey you will like this game because a lot more things to do compared to EA nhl games. This is a very smooth and good looking game on and off the ice. You can customize each individual player from his skates to his helmet and this makes up for the fact that the is no create player in this game. Other than the traditional exhibition, francise, and tournament mode this game also has the skills competition, pond hockey, superspeed, and minirink so you can play for hours without getting bored.
There are tons of unlockables like throwback jerseys and teams that aren't even around anymore! One thing I don't like is that your passes need to bee so accurate, for example if you aim your pass at a player who is moving he will skate right passed it, you need to aim the pass ahead of him to make a pass. It is also very difficult to score( depending on what difficulty you are playing on) most of the games I play end in a 0-0 tie, but it feels much more rewarding when you do score. Even though there are newer ESPN hockey games out still pick this one up.
