A unique horror game that will not be forgotten.

User Rating: 9.6 | Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem GC
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a unique survival horror game for the Gamecube. It has an innovative system where you have a sanity bar. Certain things such as seeing the monsters will lower your sanity(it may sound dumb, but it's actually really clever and cool). Once your sanity is near empty, crazy things start to happen. There's so many different things, but one example would be that you see blood dripping from the wall or hear a woman crying. You may also see your volume on the TV suddenly go all the way down or the game suddenly stopping. Some of these will truly make you think you're going crazy, it's awesome.

The graphics were great when this game came out, and still are. Especially the cutscenes look amazing. The environments also are very interesting and are great places for a horror game to be set in.

Throughout the game you control about a dozen characters ranging from a Roman knight to a simple grandfather. The time span this game takes place in is huge, from around 20 B.C. to 2000 AD.

This game sounds great, a sword hitting flesh, a gunshot firing, it all sounds great. There is not a wide range of enemies, but that doesn't make this game any less of a thrill ride.

The combat system is pretty good, you can either blindly fire your gun/ swing your sword. Or you can target different body parts for more damage.

If you own a Gamecube, it would be a crime not to go out and buy this game. If you don't have 20 bucks, at least rent it, it will definitely be well worth your time.
