10 years later the game still doesn't work...

This is how a sandbox game looks like. It has no goal or purpose unless players decide to fight over some areas of the "eve map". For the producer is a very good gig because they don't have to provide new content.

The only redeeming point of Eve is the economy. Almost everything is build by players. Players mine resources, build ships and weapons, sell them to other players that use this ships to shoot the miners and steal their stuff. Like dogs chasing their tails.

The game is very unfriendly to new players. CCP needed like 5 years to make a start tutorial. On top of that players need like 1 years before they can do anything right so no wonder this game never got to more than 30k online players over the week and ~50k players in the weekend.

It's a game for players willing to plan years ahead and spend absurd amounts of time in front of the computer.

Despite CCP claiming some huge subscription numbers this game never got of the ground. It's like a coma patient kept alive by micro transactions.
