There is something about this game that just compels you to keep going!
I started playing this about 2 years ago and although it took me a while to get into it I was soon flying around the universe with the best of them. The big draw to play this is that it is so open, you can do or be whatever you want.
I, for example, am a pirate in the game. I fly around looking for less able players than myself and prey on them, taking them down and stealing their goods.
But you can play as a miner or a trader, you can even build stuff and set up store and become a 'Space Arthur Daily' and it is this freedom that gives the game so much appeal.
Granted there are moments when you think 'what am I doing' and can almost fall asleep playing but you never know when the next pirate will be bearing down on you or if you get caught up in someone elses war and end up running for your life.
Another good thing is content, the developers have spent a lot of time producing new content that is free and it helps to keep it all fresh and new and enjoyable.
There is an awesome community around this game, most players are very friendly and helpful and you can always find someone who is happy to help you out.
So I would say this is definitely worth a try if you a getting tired of the usual 'orc bashing' MMO's out there.
