First things first - the only (and I mean ONLY) reason anyone picks this game up is because of Bruce Campbell. He's what everyone loves from the movie series, and he's why you keep picking up each game (which have gone from suck to OK to this - just fun). And I'll be the first to admit that this game is not the most original, nor the best graphics or even gameplay you'll ever see. But see again why you bought the game? Ash of the cover? He gets a side-kick who gives him a reason to crack wise every five seconds? Yeah, that's why you play it.

And it's funny not just because of Ash, but because the makers of the game aim to make the game with tongue firmly in cheek. From the demon juggernaut getting into an elevator with a person, killing him, then pressing for the floor he wants, to the constantly funny ways new sidekick Sam dies due to Ash's new weapon, you'll laugh past all the flaws it does have.

So yeah, pick it up and enjoy.

  Good Evil Dead game, mediocre action game.
