Hail Bruce Campbell.

Ok, with all the flaws the game has, and there are many, from so-so graphics to some weak gameplay, the truth is I had fun. I had a lot of fun with Evil Dead – Regeneration. Bruce Campbell rules. This guy is one funny dude. His voice-over is simply awesome here. Great lines too. Ted Raimi is also fantastic as the sidekick, Sam, a half deadite, half human midget that’s very cool. There’s loads of blood. Gore and I mean rivers of gore. Entertaining deaths. When Ash does his finishing moves on a deadite, it’s always amusing. Some nice weapons, chainsaw, flamethrower and of course the boomstick. How can you not love this? You can kill those evil dead again and again in cool ways. It’s always entertaining. The story is alright, nothing great but who cares?
Then there’s the bad. The platform part of the game is frustrating. Ash’s jumps are awful, bad controls, really, really bad. The graphics could be better. Some of the levels, towards the end of the game are somewhat dull, even repetitive. Could have used some music during the game and the ending is also a bit of a let down. Still it’s a fun game. I loved controlling Sam or using him as a weapon, kicking him at enemies, or riding the big powerful deadite in a wave of destruction. Evil Dead – Regeneration kept me entertained. It’s a bit short though, but at least it doesn’t get really boring. All in all, a sweet little game.
