Pretty Fair game that needs improvement

User Rating: 6 | Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky VITA
(old JRPG player here, played both VP1 and VP2 Silmeria) Gameplay: It is a unique traditional turn-based JRPG that will surely pleases you for awhile, while for those who are already familiar with VP titles, this should be nostalgic. The world map is pretty basic, just like other JRPG, you select where to go and will bring you to the dungeon area.. The dungeon area is a 2D sidescroller, you will have the free will to explore. Story: A typical JRPG story. There are about 3 multiple endings. Graphics: Superb for Vita. You can actually feel that the world of Exist Archive is breathing. Soundtrack: BGM is very appropriate during scenes, cutscenes, map exploring, and in battle. Difficulty: Learning curve for this game is mild, you will be most familiar of the controls within few hours of gameplay. The battles are just fair, but as you go further; some bosses becomes difficult. Strategy and correct usage of charcters needed on some boss fights. Replayability: It has new game plus for players who want to enjoy other endings while carrying over your game stat. I strongly suggest to try the post-dungeons, for it had a lot of bonus features *no spoiler. There are speed runs you can take if you need some challenges Overall: The game is actually acceptable and it could hook you for hours. The story is satisfying as it seem, the charcters are lovable and by the end of the story you will feel satisfied. I recommend this to all JRPG fans. For those who haven't tried VP titles, this is an opportunity to try this game. I'm sure you will appreciate this game along your gameplay experience.
