Have PSP platformers left you out in the cold? Well, look no further than EXIT!!
Meet Mr. ESC, an escapoligist, kind like a wanna-be superhero, but his abilties definitely aren't superhuman. You can do things like climb, jump, run, open doors, and use items like fire extinguishers, ladders, and ropes. And although this sounds like a run-of-the-mill game, heres where the companions come in. Companions are the people you rescue, and they come in fat, normal, child, and patients. They each have different abilities for you to command (except for the patient, whom you have to carry and put on a stretcher), and tell them to wait & follow you, and retreive & use items. You'll have to assist some of them, and all of these elements come together to make a great blend of platforming and strategy, which is mapped brilliantly on the PSP controls.
The graphics dont push a lot pixels (although it does look good), but what makes it shine is its wonderful sense of style. The sound is zippy, and upbeat music, but is marred by annoying voices which gets annoying way too fast. The value is definitely sky-high because not only are ther 100 levels to begin with, theres plenty of downloadable challenges on the way, and theres some out already. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a puzzle-platformer, and owns a PSP.
