Sony not innovative?

Lately Sony has been accused of not being ‘innovative’. But people seem to forget about Eyetoy! Come-on this is most likely one of the most unique things ever to happen in videogame history. In my opinion this is way more unique than the Wii controller. Although this is very innovative, it is far from perfect, but it has a lot of potential. Now I will begin talking about the games in Eyetoy, and how good of quality the camera is.

I’ll start off with the camera. The camera is alright, but definitely not great. Sometimes it doesn’t respond correctly, but most of the times it does. The picture of the camera is kind of fuzzy, but it gets the job done at least. One huge problem is that, the camera needs to have bright light in order to respond properly. So I don’t recommend this game to people who have dark rooms.

Now with the ‘mini-games.’ Some are great and addicting. But some make no point at all, and are just fill ins. I will now review the games
Beat Freak- Very fun, you have to hit the ‘speakers’ at the right time, so that the balls go in the center of the ‘speaker’ 9/10
Kung Foo- the greatest game on Eyetoy. You have to hit the ninjas coming at you, before they hit you. 10/10
Wishi-Washy- This one is alright, but gets boring fast. Your goal is to clean the windows before time runs out. 5.5/10
Keep-ups- One of the better games here, you have to keep the ball up in the air for as long as possible. But its not as easy as it seems. You have to try to hit the people in the buildings to get extra points. 9/10
Boxing Chump- One of the greatest ones here. You have to box him in 3 rounds. You can even dodge his attacks. The problem is, it doesn’t last too long. 9/10
UFO Juggler- I have never gotten into this game, it is just boring. 4/10
Slapstream- You have to hit the bunnies on the clouds and hit the right ones. Not too much fun here… 3/10
Plate Spinners- This one gets to be really hard. Your goal is to keep the plates spinning on the fingers as long as possible. 6/10
Ghost Catcher- Catch the ghosts, simple as that. 6/10
Mirror Time- REALLY hard to play, but it is fun. You have to touch the corners, but the mirrors do the opposite of what you do. Trust me its hard, but addicting. 8/10
Rocket Rumble- Not too much fun here. You have to put on a firework show. One of the worst ones here. 2/10

So if your looking for something fun and unique, look no further. This game is very fun, especially with friends or a party. Definitely get it.
