F-Zero GX is a futuristic racing game set in the future. The pace of this game is extremely fast and if you do not memorize the turns and jumps in the various courses you will get frustrated very quickly. You have nearly an endless number of vehicles to choose from, as you can unlock more vehicles as you win more races. Unlike many other racing games the vehicle you choose effects your turning ability, speed, acceleration, and boost power. If you learn to use your given boosts at strategic times they will help you to blow past your opponents and get into the lead. You will also have to keep your vehicle's power level up by passing through certain areas of a track that re-fill your energy tank. If you are not careful and do not manage your vehicle's energy you may find yourself out of the race.

As stated earlier the pace of this game is hectic and you may have a hard time controlling your vehicle at first. However over time you will grasp the feel of your vehicle and learn the intricacies of the controller. For example by lightly tapping the L or R buttons you may be able to knock your opponent off of the course by smashing into them. Also you can use a spin attack to try and take out your opponents but this will cause you to slow down and lose your momentum.

There are 20 tracks available for play, each offering a unique experience. The tracks are all beautifully animated and the surrounding views also are spectacular. The music is mostly techno, keeping with the fast pace of this game. Your vehicle's engine has the typical whining sound as expected from a futuristic racer. All in all, this game offers a fast-paced racing experience that is unique from any other racing game.
