User Rating: 9.5 | F-Zero GX GC
Pros: Excellent graphics and sound, great sense of speed, courses are designed well, over 30 racers to unlock, story mode and grand prix mode keeps you coming back, cutscenes are done well, and the dialouge is fantastic Cons: A little on the frustrating side, the soundtrack is sometimes annoying.

F-Zero started back on the SNES, and since then, has evolved in many ways. Now it's faster, better, and more enjoyable than any F-zero game to date. Graphics: The visuals in F-Zero GX are absolutely stunning. The car models are very well done. They really look like futuristic cars. There are many, many, many visual effects, and every level is designed with lots of scenery and detail. Everything is so fast paced, and the sense of speed is so good you'll feel like like your in a roller coaster. Everything is coming at you. Take flawless visual effects, a 1,000 km speed, lots of other racers, level that include roller coaster style turns and loops complete with lots of detail and scenery, and everything running at a smooth 60 fps, no framerate issues, and you have a real looker. This really shows what the Gamecube is capable of. Sound: The music is well done. l personally don't think the soundtrack is amazing. It is rather on the dull side, and is overly repetive. But it still fits the game well. Best part is the sound effects are amazing. Gameplay: The game is a little frustrating at times, but it is still very, very fun. The game is all about speed. You have some attacks, such as spinning, but the focus is on speed. You can go over 1500 kmh. You also get boost, but every time you use boost you have to sacrafice a small increment of your energy. And this game perfectly fits this statment: Easy to learn, hard to master. It is very easy to learn; it has a small learning curve, but to win you have to master the game. You basically have to know each track in your mind. Value: This has a Grand-Prix mode, a story mode, and a flawless multiplayer mode. What more could you ask for? Overall: Take a great sense of speed, excellent graphics, one challenging difficulty, and lots of reaplay value. What do you get? The best F-Zero ever: F-Zero GX.
