The fastest game out there, sorry sonic.
F-Zero Gx is fastest racing game out there, even 5 years after it came out. You will pretty much see if you love the game or not in the first 30 seconds of playing. The Grand prix mode is the main attraction here, putting you as one of 42 characters(38 of them unlockable!) on a super-fast hovercar racing cousre against 29 other opponents. When you're going 1000 kilometers(apperantly, this game was made by those metric system loving countries!)(aka anyone but the U.S) ph, the races get crazily choatic and fun. The racers have interesting personalities(a 7 foot tall t-rex with human arms and legs! a superhero! his wife! a fat mechanic! an android! a guy with his brain sticking out of a helmet! two partner aliens who race in the same car who are 102 years old!) and the hovercars.....aka F-zero machines, are extemely varied to anybody's liking.
Also included is a story mode, following the exploits of captain falcon(unfortunatly, no falcon punches). While the story won't be winning any oscars anytime soon("I'll make mincemeat out of you!"), it's alright for this kind of game. The story mode is EXTREMELY hard, though(hence my laughter at the beginning of this review), good luck beating chapters 6 and 7 in story mode on "easy" mode.
All in all, this game is great for those who love superfast, crazy kinds of racers. If you want the need for speed, look no further than this game!
