Fable is an engaging, fun game that is easy to get into, interesting (if a bit slow in the earliest section), and has a strong storyline. It is a bit different than anything out there, but I am a little disappointed by the attempt to let you choose a good or evil path (several quests that you wouldn't pass up add to your "good" rating, whether you like it or not). And I dont' feel like evil/good choices have that great an effect on the game or the arc of the story. I've not finished it yet, but have put about 11 hours of game-time into it, and my only real complaint is that it seems too easy. I think it says something for the game that even though nearly all of the quests are pretty easy to overcome, it's not as revolutionary as we would have hoped, and you're not really ever short of cash or goodies (since lots of stuff is literally laying around waiting for you to pick it up), I'm still enjoying working my way through. Unlike most RPGs, Fable doesn't force you to choose between an emphasis on magic or fighting - my dude is pretty proficient with a crossbow and a spell that knocks everyone around him down - and, yeah, that is a pretty effective tactic. Highlight so far: the brutal final stages of the Arena, where I was buffeted like a rag doll in a hurricane until I worked out some effective tactics and began to even the odds a bit; coming through that quest on the first attempt really gives you a sense of accomplishment.
