Fun open-ended lite-RPG! Very Good but not quite great!
Graphics & Sound are both quite impressive. The frame-rate can get a little choppy at times but the game is polished and dripping with atmosphere and detail. The game made me stop several times to just appreciate and look at the visuals. I love when games make me do that. The music and voice-acting are great!
Gameplay has a few flaws. Though it allows you to access a ton of commands very quickly, the controls can become a little cumbersome. Combat can get frustrating when you get surrounded, though mastering the enflame spell alleviates that (actually the enflame spell might be a little too effective). The level-up system is nice and simple, I hate complicated leveling up that has too many damn arbitary attributes. This game keeps it simple and I like that.
Content: The quests are pretty good, they are pretty varied. The main storyline is a bit short and personally didn't feel as epic as the beginning of the game made you think it was going to be. There is enough side-quests and mini-games to make the game a worthy purchase though.
Story: Some video game storylines get too complicated near the end of the game, Fable does the exact opposite. The story is great for the first half, but then turns a little bland near the end. Overall, the storyline is fine, but it could've been excellent if they managed to keep the 2nd half as interesting as the first half.
Overall: This is a very good game, if you like RPG's or Action-Adventures you should check the game out. Some might think it's a bit too simplisitic but in my opinion I'd rather have the game be alittle on the simple side as opposed to being too much on the complicated side. If the combat was more refined and the stroyline alittle more epic near the end, this game could've been a 9.0+ game. As is, I say it's an 8.0.
