A good game, but not ground breaking

To put this bluntly Fable is a good experience, but also a rather short one. The game plays nicely for an action rpg. The character customization and leveling up process is probably the best seen in a console rpg in a long time. The graphics are well done and overall its a very solid above average game. However it is not the be all and end all of RPGs. Infact its not even treading new ground. The game is a mix of Gothic and the sims for the PC with action elements chucked in to make combat more interesting. Its a very well executed game in terms of polish and presentation and is possibly the best xbox rpg going at the moment along with KOTOR. I would say if you have been hyped up about this game then possibly its not a good idea to buy it because you will be dissapointed. However If your prepared to take Fable on board for what it is now, and not what you was told it would be 2 years ago then you will find a very enjoyable well executed action rpg.
