Fable has an interesting concept and is fun to play but there are some things that keep it from being great. The story puts you as young boy who after his mother and sister are kidnapped by bandits is taken to a school where he learns the way of the sword, bow and magic to take revenge. The graphics are nice and won’t disappoint you. What will disappoint you is the short storyline. Yes Fable may have nice graphics and good controls but the story will leave you wanting more, a lot more. There are quite a few side quests and I would recommend you do as many as you can since it will make the game feel longer. The battle system is good and challenging so you won’t be disappointed there. One more problem that I had with Fable was the loading screens. Fable also allows you to choose good or bad, but unfortunately there really aren’t a lot of times to turn bad. Sure you can kill a guard or townsfolk but the law will hunt you down and take your money. The only thing that changes is your face; your face will grow horns and will look rather unpleasant. The game doesn’t force you to be good but there really are more benefits to being good then bad. Bottom Line: If your willing to forgive the short story and lack of benefits towards being bad Fable is a rather enjoyable game.
