One of the most noticeable changes is the addition of purity and corruption. I also believe that the beginning storyline of your childhood is more dramatic than the first one, which is one thing I didn't think was possible. I'm also glad the weight actually affects the game this time around. I noticed in the original there was a weight display on the status screen, but there was absolutely nothing to tell you anything was happening. Except, of course, for that demon door that only lets you in if you're obese. This game is a massive improvement over the original. one of My only gripes is the ending. You don't have to do anything at all during the final boss fight. (if it can be called that) I also preferred the spell system of the original to the new one. I hate having to charge up my higher level spells. I also think there are actually LESS spells in this game than in the original. Though, no game is perfect. The addition of guns was also something I enjoyed. All in all this game lived up to my expectations. I can't wait for the sequel.
