Sure there is a TON of stuff you can do and it would take more than one play through to do it all, but the story line didn't pull me in like the first one did. As far as the story goes, it felt un-original and rushed. But other than that it's a good game with plenty of material to keep you playing for days. Character customization and choosing every aspect of your character's life really makes the game one-of-a-kind. If you like RPGs and don't mind a button mashing game where all you do is hit the same button over and over for combat, than Fable 2 is a good game for you. I liked the idea of a dog, and it certainly wasn't annoying and didn't get in your way or anything. They mastered that. However earning money was a little too easy. I mean if you like fun mini games than you're soon on your way to become a millionaire. Plus you can buy and rent out houses. Don't get me wrong, i love the depth of the game, i just think they made it a little easy to get very rich.
The online is cool. You're able to see orbs of other players wherever they are on the map and you can interact with them as far as trading items and stuff goes.
