CrimsonBlade541's Excellent Review of Fable II
The weapon and combat system is pretty good. It has minor flaws. One flaw is makeing the sword your most dominant weapon. You can take out just about anything with your sword and you kill over 3/4 of the enemies with it. The magic is strong, but not strang enough to kill anyone in one shot. The gun is pretty good too. Thats the only way you can kill trolls and some high up enemies. Balverines are weakened by the gun faster, but they attack so much you really can't use it against them.
Secrets. There are many secrets to find in this game. Let's start with Demon Doors. Demon Door are magical doors where you have to solve their riddle for them to open up to you. When they open up, you walk inside a portal and you're in some mystical land. There is a treasure chest always somewhere in it and you have to find it and get the item that's inside that's normally rare. Another secret is Gargoyles. Gargoyles are annoying little statues that yell at you taunting you that you suck at fighting, and that you have bad aim, and that you can never hit him. If you hit him (Which it is extremely easy to) then you collect his soul, which you get a count of to see how many you have. When you get all 50, you go into something called a "Gargoyle Cave" and get their secret treasure. You can go in the gargoyle cave at anytime but only get small treasures for every 10. The only problem is finding them...
Legendary weapons is another challenge in this game. The Daichi is the strongest legendary weapon and the fastest so watch out for it. There are 7 legendary weapons to find and they provide quite the challenge so be prepared.
Doll collecting is one more feature. You collect all 10 dolls and you get a prize.
Now enough of this secret talk, let's get down to the storyline. So in the beginning, you have the choice straight up - Good, or Evil? If you do good deeds you start to become good. If you do bad deed, you start to become bad. Depending on how you complete the tutorial depicts how Old Town Bowerstone is. If you are evil, it's run down, trashy, and there are no laws. If you're good, it's a rich city. Now, the story all starts from your childhood. You notice a merchant, Murgo, is selling magical items, like a mirror that makes you beautiful, but only works in the dark, and the item the magical music box. In order to buy the music box, you must get 5 gold coins, so that's when you start the deed. The music box gives you 1 wish. You and your sister want to live in fairfax castle with Lord Lucien and off the streets of Old Town Bowerstone. Your wish comes true and gaurds escort you to him. The real reason he wanted you is because he noticed you bought the music box, but he wanted it, but you couldnt give it to him because you already wasted it. He asks you and your sister to stand in a circle and he tests if you're heroes, because there are 3 he wants to kill, before they kill him in the future. He tests it and either you or your sister are. When he reaches for you both his hand gets burned and the blue aura that was around the circle turns red. Just to be safe, he shoots and kills your sister and shoots you out a window, but a woman named Theresa you meet in the beggining of the game, makes it so you live. (Theresa is the sister of the first fable character.) Later in the game, he kills your dog, which makes you even more angry. Now you want revenge on Lord Lucien and do many things to get to him and kill him.
A few things that need to be corrected in fable III is the lack of jobs and the short main storyline. There were only 3 job types and the game is really short unless you do the sidequests along with it. Also boss battles. The only boss that actually was a challenge was Thag and Ripper. The bandit leaders. They really weren't hard at all though! Dash gets killed in one shot, and Lord Lucien does too.
