This is by far the best game of the series in every regard. Anyone who has ever enjoyed a pervious Fable game will instantly love this one. A stronger and more engaging story, better dialogue, funnier characters, better visuals, and slightly more challenging combat.

People who didn't not enjoy Fable 1 & 2 in the past will probably have some of the same issues with the game. The overall formula has stayed the same. While the battles pose more challenge there is little fair of death within the game. One can easily go from beginning to end without being knocked out. On the off chance that your hero does fall in battle the only penalty is a scar, which can also be avoided with the right weapons. There is very little looting, and the RPG elements of the game have been watered down or streamlined, depending on your point of view.

All these "flaws" which some critics of the game will point out aren't really flaws at all, just issues of preference. This is not a hardcore RPG. Its a mainstream, action-adventure, RPG. One of the most entertaining in its class.
