An otherwise enjoyable game knocked down by so many tech glitches.

User Rating: 7.5 | Fable III X360
Fable 3 does indeed deliver a more enjoyable game than Fable2. The combat button layout is simple but can lead to very nice finish moves (like the human kill neck twist). The music for the battles, and in Aurora, can pull you into the action further.

And the sanctuary respite is a great interface. Quite a few humorous comments in that as well. Add the world view for quick jumps and area views, it is better than the old start menu by far.

Visually, the game is stunning. Water looks like water (even with depth views), and the buildings and interiors are far better as well.

The bad - the Fable2 combat/action engine seems to have been ported over with just the button changes happening. The same types of glitches (lost glow trail, fused characters, slowdowns, and the dead enemy 'twitch') are all present. Then there are times the trail will lead to a building, and once entered lead right back out.

Then the slow-frame flourishes will change the camera view so that the enemies in front of you are no longer on the screen. And, many times the camera has a lovely view of tree branches, and sometimes your PC's feet.

Another glitch is when the interaction prompts completely disappear for an entire town. Leaving the area, and sometimes shutting down, must be employed to get those back in that area.

It is a game I would buy, after all the QA issues, but Lionhead needs to fix the bugs.
