"Hail to the King Baby!" Starts off as Fable 2.1 ends as Fable 3

User Rating: 8 | Fable III X360
Quick Review:
the Good:
Great Graphics
Witty Dialog
Good Mid-Late Game
Story is unique
the Meh:
The final boss fight
early game feels like fable 2.1
no moral ambiguity (choices are right and wrong)
combat is shallow
Seal System is new(which is nice) but not that great
the Bad:
Choppy frame rates (pushed 360 to it limits without optimizing)
Way too easy
Shallow combat (by endgame you just spam b to win)
Really easy to lose your spouse once you live in the castle (took me 5 mins to find her)

Let me start off by saying this game is a little disappointing to start with, and it starts really slow. But by mid game its engaging and extremely interesting.

The main low point of this game is the combat, it is crazy shallow, it looks nice but the same strategy can be used for the whole game. Not to mention that it is insanely easy, there is an actually an achievement for not dying in the game and i think everyone should get it.

It has the things we have come to expect in fable, property buying, lame mini-games to make money (lute hero makes me laugh though), family having, witty dialog, weird outfits, bad skin, "moral decisions," lovable canine companions, and satire.

One aspect that really shines in F3 is the lvl design wide open spaces that are gorgeous and believable. Exploring is fun, although some places have too few enemies and trinkets to collect while others don't let you move without being attacked every direction.

Some of the quests are very good, others are your typical take this here, kill this, save this person.

All until you make it through the road to rule, this is when fable ceases to be an expansion and gets into its own entity. This is the only RPG i have ever played where you get to be king and actually feel like a king, it still has some issues (such as villagers still calling you the prince) and a little bit of lack of depth, but its very engaging.

All in all its a good game, I don't think i would purchase it at this point, but if you get a few days off rent it from RedBox. In the future they may add amazing DLC but who knows.
