Gamespot is wrong, but for the right reasons...
Now, that being said, gamespot said everything right. The game looks great, and it's mainly focused on the general "fable" atmosphere, which sucks the player in. There are many funny quests, and though they're usually easy, they're entertaining nevertheless.
Big steps forward were done in the field of social interactions with NPG and side stuff, such as jobs and activities impossible to find in other games. Now, here comes the tricky part...
The thing is, if you like this kind of stuff (getting married with strangers, flipping off peasants for no reason, hanging out in a mountain just chilling, while listening to musics of sweet violins) and you're not looking for classic RPG action, then Fable 3 might be the game for you.
Listen carefully to GS review. Decide by yourself which elements are the most important to you, but be assured that this is a really stylish game.
Summary: Fable is a peculiar world, not for anyone. You can love it, or hate it, no deals in the middle.
