Whilst the campaign is a little on the weak side, the perks that comes with it made it up tenfold.
Therefore, and by watching those trailers, I expected massive combat with plenty of lasers / bullets whizzing pass. That indeed happened in the first mission however it suddenly fell down to a solo romp of infiltration, without the sneaking. As the story goes, The Brotherhood will cause a diversion for you to sneak in and sabotage the Enclave mother of bases. I guess The Brotherhood placed so much trust in you doing this mission for the lives of others.
There are some stealthy parts though with a mix of horror (as in those sudden jumps) however that ended rather quickly. It's a shame though as otherwise this can set this DLC apart from the other two (i.e. Operation Anchorage / The Pitt). Yet, looking in hindsight, I'm guessing that the game needs to suit all walks of life due to its famous 'classless' system, as it showed quite well considering the many avenues the player can take to infiltrate and take down The Enclave.
With all good DLCs, this one comes with a decent amount of quests - three main ones and about six 'hidden' ones. And of course there are a decent amount of new weaponry / armour. However its main drawcard are the level cap as it's bumped from twenty to thirty, fourteen new perks and six more achievements to tackle those tougher foes like (and in my opinion the toughest) the feral ghoul reaver, super mutant overlord and the dreaded albino radscorpion. Seriously, these guys make a deathclaw looking like a stuffed teddy bear in comparison.
According to the blurb, this DLC should last about five hours. For me, after exploring every nook and cranny, I knocked off around eight hours so it's pretty decent length for a DLC. Yet like the previous DLCs, there's plenty of lost opportunity with the missions as it felt really 'empty'. Granted the maps are very large however 'inside' are just hollow – e.g. lacking new people to meet / greet. And considering it suppose to be the Great War between The Enclave and The Brotherhood, you rarely experience / witness this event – you know, that 'total chaos' feeling. Yet because of the major changes made like increase level cap and new perks, I would get it just for that.
