No sourer a note could Fallout 3 be let out on

This will be the last DLC available for Fallout 3, but I really wish it weren't so. The whole thing feels like Bethesda just said "Ah Christ we have to make one more? Well lets throw something together then, ah....you get taken by aliens. They wanna take over the Earth so you kill them. OK we're done." Everything from the generic little-green-men aliens to the useless characters I distribute not one iota of care for feels like they had no thought put toward them, at least nowhere near the game proper. I genuinely wanted to find my father when I left Vault 101 for the first time. I was genuinely scared of what the Enclave would do after Liberty Prime was destroyed. This is the Fallout I'm used to. Halfway through this add-on, I genuinely stopped playing for a week just so I didn't have to play through the piss-poor shooting.gallery it is. There are no heady moral choices, no use for anything other than your weapons, All the objectives are simple go-here-blow-this-up scenarios, and you kill anything in your path. The second of 3 missions in the game has you start in a core with 3 doors. You enter one door, blow up the generator there, survive the wave of aliens afterward, go back to the core and enter the next door, blow up the generator there, survive the wave of aliens afterward, and return. Guess what you do about the third door? If I was going to give some positive marks to this, it's that the alien technology will really rake in kills and caps once you're back in the wasteland. If your character is having all kinds of weapon problems and could use some fatter pockets, this may be a decent buy, but don't expect to enjoy it too much.
