In my oppion thats what fueled me through the game, the thought that I caould go anywhere and do almost anything. With all the add-ons it brings even more life to the party. Those who are used fast past shooters might feel a bit weired at first when it comes down to the shooting, but then you'll be missing the point. This is NOT a FPS, its a RPG with FPS elements.
The story to the game is suprisingly good, it has plot twist and tones of side missions. I must say you should do one playthrough and beat the main quest, then replay it again and do all the side mission. In doing so you can see at least a good portion of the game. Over all the game gets better as you play, and it starts off good already. I say anyone give this game a chance and you'll love it.
