My first venture into an RPG and I was blown away. I'm an RPG fan now.

User Rating: 9 | Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition PC
Good:
- Huge map with tons of places to go and people to see.
- Enormous variety of weapons. I specialized in energy weapons and I'm glad I did.
- Lots of interesting side quests. Some are so interesting and engrossing you lose track of the main story line.
- VATS Vault tech Targeting System. Neat idea.
- You can have a follower and a dog. Fawks is an awesome sidekick. Can't imagine roaming the wasteland without man's best friend. Dogmeat will alert you of enemies.
- Some very interesting perks.
- Like the bobblehead idea although I could only find about half.
- Wonderful graphics - although depressing which is what you would expect for this time frame.
- Simple game play controls.
- The Prima Game Guide was essential to playing. You get a lot of in depth help and information on weapons, armor, food, everything.
- Sound is top notch. Good music, good dialogue.
- Any game that can keep me playing for 95 hours is a great game. The only one I played longer was the Company of Heroes series.
- Tremendous value for your dollar. Got on sale through Steam.

Bad:
- About 20 freeze ups. Be sure to save often.

-- Main story line is short. Some of the side quest have far more interesting stories. I used the game guide to help me along as I would be lost without it. So, it's to know what to do without it.
- Scrounging gets tedious.
- I completed the main quest, all side quests, and all add on packs. I did Broken Steel last and was at level 30 before I started which didn't make that add on much fun. They should at least allow you to add more perks once you get to level 30 to keep you going.

On add packs grades:
Operation Anchorage - B+
Really like the environment. Straight forward mission. The health canisters was innovative. Challenging things to do. A little short.

The Pitt - A
Interesting storyline. Finding all 100 ingots was tough but you get tremendous rewards. A tough morality decision in the end.

Point Lookout - B+
Expansive area to explore. Good story. Interesting twist with who takes a portion of brain.

Mothership Zeta - B-
I'd give this a C if it wasn't for the great energy weapons you can add to your collection. The aliens are tough to bring down. Story par. A 10yr old girl is the expert on maneuvering through the space ship? I did like the change of scenery and the conclusion. Nice graphics.

Broken Steel - C
Story was a let down; more of the same from the primary mission. A couple of nice weapon additions.

Overall - Highly recommended. This was a lot fun to play. Looking forward to New Vegas.
