A huge and varied game. Cetainly worth playing.

When you first begin playing fallout 3, chances are you'll find it overwhelming. The reason you'll find it so overwhelming is because you'll have no clue where to go and you can't fast travel to cities like you would oblivion. This is also what makes the game great. The consistant feeling of being thrusted into new circumstances forces a sense of freedom upon you as you are forced to explore.

One of the big problems with fallout 3 is it's lack of difficulty. To succeed in this game all one has to do is to master VATS and the perks and skills as well as carry enought stimpaks. Even if it may seem like a lot, it is really rather simple. I'm not saying the game isn't challenging, simply that it could be a bit more challenging.

The game itself does enough to outweigh this little problem. In terms of scenery, the game is outstanding. The post apocalyptic DC is simply beautiful in its hidiousness, no matter how strange that sounds. Giant ants, radroaches and various forms of robots populate the land and add to the eerie feeling of the aftermath of nuclear war.

The plots also allow people to have a bit of innsight of the intricate backstory of the individual towns and people as well as the war itself. This is just a small part of the vast nature of the game. Even if it may lack a bit of challenge, the variation and complexity allows for hours upon hours of amusement.
