Fallout 3 is an amazing game but I cannot give it anything higher then an 8 because the PS3 version has way to many bugs
Story-Fallout's Main story is good imo, not the best story ever in a video game but one of the best ive heard from in an open world rpg. It is very hard to pull off a compelling story in huge games like Fallout. See once you start the game most rpg's will start you on the story and then if its an open world rpg the sotry will come to a halt and the game will throw you into the world. Now Fallout 3 shines in a big aspect of "the wasteland" which is the world of Fallout. See besides the main story there is another story, the story of the wasteland. If you explore the wasteland in Fallout you will find an amazing story of survival, you reall get to see and feel what it must of been like when the bombs fell and after and that whole struggle for survival feeling is heavily present. Bethesda went all out on so much detail into this games wasteland and it makes you feel that, that is the main story to Fallout 3.
Gameplay- Gameplay in Fallout imo is pretty fun, you use a shooting system called V.A.T.S which is basically this little turn base shooting system when once in use pauses the game and locks onto a designated enemy then you choose if you want to attack the enemies head, foot, leg ect ect. Now as fun as this is I can easily see why some people would find it repetitive and boring. The combat outside of vats is pretty bad also, its very cluncky and its a little hard to shoot moving targets unless you get use to it. You know what tho even tho the combat is stiff outside of vats this is not supose to be a heavy fps, its more of an rpg, rts, fps.
Graphics- The game imo looks great, thisis definetly not a game for people that find games that do not have alot of color boring, ex-Killzone 2,Gears of War. However there is still color in this game, and way more then Killzone but it is a pretty depressing game to play since everything is either dead or blown up. Just do not go into this game thinking it to be as colorful as oblivion.
Bottom Line- I feel that I have a love/hate relationship with Fallout 3. I was complain about its faults but love the game to death and if you can look pass the horrible frame rate issues for the PS3 you will find an amazing gaming experience like no other. Also shame on you Bethesda for not putting just as much love into the Ps3 version like you did for the 360's version.
