*****Introduction*****
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Good:
Added life-value to main game
-------------------------------------------------------
The Bad:
Frame rate problems and glitches, that could disrupted your time playing - Quite short - No salvaging - Story quest isn't that forwarding for a Fallout 3 quest - There's no going back
-------------------------------------------------------
Featuring new enemies, items, and an additional side quest, Operation Anchorage is the first downloadable content for Fallout 3. Sadly, it's added no real excitement to the Fallout 3 experience.

Ether by downloading Operation Anchorage from the PlayStation Store, or buying the "Game of the Year edition", Operation Anchorage is… a decent quest addition. Operation Anchorage is the first additional side quest to Fallout 3 that could add a few more hours into the overall value. However, it's not really as exciting as some of the original side quest already within Fallout 3.
Operation Anchorage is a fairly short quest, adding a linear (A to B) type quest with no real scene of exploration involved. Also the PlayStation 3 version of Operation Anchorage suffers from mirror frame rate problems and glitches, which could disrupt your time playing.
The game-play, sound design and graphics are similar to that of the original Fallout 3, which for that, there really isn't mush I can say… unless you haven't read my Fallout 3 review.
Operation Anchorage is… a decent content as said, but it's an additional quest worth playing if you a Fallout 3 fan, and looking to get as much as you can out of the game.
Operation Anchorage is located at the far South in the Wasteland. The plot is relatively simple, yet redundant. You are sent into a war simulation against the Chinese in Anchorage, a snowy mountaintop, in order to gain access into an armoury back in real time (the Wasteland), that has been lockdown ever since the war in Anchorage.
Operation Anchorage is a linear quest with no sense of exploration involved. As you move along throughout the quest, you're closed in by invisible matrix like walls that restrain you from leaving the area. As well as very little exploration involved, you cannot salvage anything from you enemies, as once dead they disappear taking their weapons with them.
Operation Anchorage consists of you completing a few objectives like infiltrating a Chinese Artillery site, Destroying Artillery guns, Destroying Fuel Tanks etc. Before you start your objective you must assigned a strike team that you can control (to a certain extent). You can control the team to breach in head on, or attempt so sneak in (which doesn't really work well with Fallout 3). You also must choose a class type, i.e. a standard soldier, heavy weapons specialist etc. Throughout the quest, there are ammunition crates and health containers, which replenish both your health and ammo to full capacity, that you can use as frequent as you want. Each crate and container glows red when near, as well as weapons and items throughout the quest. There are a few new weapons and enemies throughout, as well as an added perk, which consists of you collecting a certain amount of hidden Intel's, which isn't really worth the trouble. Operation Anchorage is pretty short, easy and not really challenging. The ending climax (if you would call it that) is pretty dull. All it is, the main enemy "General Jingwei" chases you around with a stick, while you can easily take him out.
Finishing Operation Anchorage will ("may") grant you an extra Peck, access to the locked armoury adding a few items, weapons, and armour to your inventory.
Good for added value to Fallout 3, just don't expect to much.
