Fallout 4 is at its core a great game, it is a great game because it was a good game 8 years ago.
I would never fault a fallout game for inferior grafix, so lets focus on other issues.
The game plays like a polished version of fallout 3, I cannot see 8 years of improvement, is has better gunplay, it has better gfx and better AI enemys.
But so many things that could have been improved has not. The Pipboy inventory is still as clonky as ever, you still go though 100+ items in a click by click way, that is only ment for a controller.
I am still on the fence about the voiced protagonist, its cool to have on but I really does limit you, if you have ever played a text based RPG you will know. (to many yes/no kill the raiders, ask for more money answers)
they changed the SPECIAL system, that was fine imho because the old system was completely broken, the INT stat was king in a big big way.
Fallout is still Fallout, so you can still lost in the world and have hours of fun, but it is not an impressive game, it does not do anything that I didn't expect from a major AAA bethesda game. 8/10
